CSA

During the 1960s CSAs or Community Sponsored Agriculture groups began as a reaction to industrialized food systems. People craved a relationship with what they ate, and wanted more accountability from their food producers. Dr. Booker T. Whatley, a Black horticulturist at Tuskegee University, pioneered "clientele membership clubs" in the US South, teaching small farmers to create direct-to-consumer partnerships.

At the Orchard we are learning from our ancestors and are proud to provide a seasonal CSA subscription program. Our produce bags start at $15.

You can choose from a small or large bag. Produce is picked up weekly at the Corner Orchard.
